# TowCAD

> TowCAD is web-based dispatch software for towing companies, made by Third Shift Digital LLC. Dispatchers take and assign calls, drivers work them from a phone app, and the office stores vehicles and bills for the work. It's invite-only: Third Shift Digital sets up each company's account.

## Who it's for

Tow companies: the owner, the dispatchers, the billing or office staff, and the drivers. Each role gets the screens its job needs. Each company's data is kept separate from every other company's.

## Features

- Towing dispatch: a dispatch board for every call. Take the call, pick the truck and driver, and follow its status from dispatched to en route, on scene, hooked, in tow and done.
- Driver phone app: drivers get their calls on their phones. They tap through the status steps and add photos, damage notes and signatures at the scene. It installs from the browser on iPhone and Android (a web app, not an app-store download).
- Lot and storage timer: vehicles taken to the lot get a storage timer, so the office knows what's on hand and what storage is owed. Releases are recorded with payment.
- Invoices: invoice calls, record payments, and see what's still owed.
- Reports: calls, invoices and collections for the dates you pick.
- Roles: owner, dispatcher, billing and driver.

- Does TowCAD handle police and rotation tows? Yes, as a tow type. Mark a call as a police tow and record the agency, officer and case number; vehicles can go into the lot with a police hold, and the agency can be the bill-to. TowCAD doesn't keep or run a police rotation list for you.
- Can TowCAD track lot storage? Yes. Vehicles taken to the lot get a storage timer that follows your company's storage rules, so the office can see what's on hand and what storage is owed. When a vehicle is released, the release and payment are recorded.
- Is there a driver app? Yes. Drivers get their calls on their phones, tap through the status steps (en route, on scene, hooked, in tow, done) and add photos, damage notes and signatures. It's a web app that installs from the browser on iPhone and Android, not an app-store download.
- Can I switch from Towbook? Yes, but there's no import yet. A Towbook import is coming soon. Until then, your trucks, drivers and accounts are entered in TowCAD when your company is set up.
- How do I get started? TowCAD is invite-only. Request access from this page. Once Third Shift Digital LLC approves your company, the owner gets an email invitation and the 30-day free trial starts.
